A trip with a cause.

We are beyond excited for this experience. Not just because the Azores are a bucket list destination, but because it is our first trip in partnership with Daughters of the Deep -

an amazing nonprofit whose mission is very close to our hearts. Being able to do what we love, share it with others, AND allow that to support others in achieving their dreams...

We couldn't ask for anything more.

About the Azores

Each island in the archipelago offers its own unique charm and attractions. From the towering volcanic peaks of Pico Island, including Mount Pico, the highest point in Portugal, to the enchanting crater lakes and hot springs of São Miguel Island, the largest and most populous island, there is something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

Aside from marine life - The islands are a haven for birdwatching enthusiasts as well, with a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species. In addition to its natural wonders, the Azores also boast charming towns and villages, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, enjoy delicious traditional cuisine, and experience the warm hospitality of the Azorean people.

The archipelago's mild climate, influenced by the Gulf Stream, makes it an ideal destination to visit year-round. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a combination of both, the Azores Archipelago offers a truly unforgettable experience in a breathtaking natural setting.

Nature lovers will find plenty to explore on Faial Island. The coastline is dotted with beautiful black sand beaches, such as Praia do Almoxarifeand Praia do Porto Pim, where visitors can relax, swim, or even try their hand at surfing.

The island is also home to the Capelinhos Volcano, a striking volcanic cone formed during a volcanic eruption in 1957. Today, it serves as a unique geological monument and offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the island's volcanic history.

For those interested in marine life out of the diving experiences, Faial is a fantastic destination for whale watching. By booking their boats privately we will be skipping the overcrowded feel of tourist vessels & experiencing the true beauty of the blue, in a more intimate setting.

COASTAL DIVING

Scuba coastal diving in the Azores immerses you in a captivating underwater world just off the picturesque shores. As you descend into the azure depths, a vibrant tapestry of marine life unfolds before your eyes.

Schools of colorful fish dart among intricate coral formations, while graceful rays glide effortlessly through the crystal-clear waters. The gentle currents guide you along the coastline,

revealing hidden caves and breathtaking rock formations teeming with life.

With each dive, you become part of this enchanting ecosystem, witnessing the beauty and majesty of the Azorean underwater realm firsthand.

SHARK DIVING

Diving with blue sharks in the Azores is an exhilarating and awe-inspiring experience that brings you face to face with these majestic creatures of the deep. As you descend into the deep blue waters, anticipation fills the air. Suddenly, a shadow emerges from the depths, and you find yourself in the presence of a magnificent blue shark. Its sleek body glides effortlessly through the water, its piercing eyes scanning its surroundings with curiosity.

You observe in awe as these graceful predators navigate their underwater domain, their powerful presence both captivating and humbling. With a respectful distance, you witness their elegance and beauty, as they

command the depths with their sheer presence.

OFFSHORE DIVING - PRINCESS ALICE BANK

Princess Alice Bank, 46 nautical miles (93km) from Faial Island is one of the Azores’ world class dive sites. Two and a half hours by boat, the site is a pinnacle that comes within 95ft (27m) of the surface. Here shoals of pelagic fish swarm, attracted by the nutrient rich water and current.

The bottom of the pinnacle is starkly beautiful with deep ridges and gorges, so explore the vast pinnacle within your dive limit and seek huge rays, morays and pelagic life. On the accent keep your eyes on the blue,

where Mobularays glide towards you, sometimes in groups as large as 30-40 individuals.

Whale watching in Faial Island, Azores, is a truly remarkable experience that allows visitors to witness the majestic creatures of the sea in their natural habitat. The island's strategic location in the North Atlantic Ocean makes it an ideal spot for observing a wide variety of whale species.

Boat tours depart from the charming town of Horta, taking visitors out into the open waters where these magnificent creatures roam. Knowledgeable guides and marine biologists accompany the tours, providing valuable insights into the behavior, biology, and conservation efforts of the whales.

From the awe-inspiring presence of blue whales, the largest animals on Earth, to the distinctive spouting and diving of sperm whales, the archipelago is a haven for whale species.

Fin whales showcase their impressive size, while humpback whales captivate with their acrobatic displays. Dolphins, including common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and Risso'sdolphins, add to the excitement with

their playful interactions. While orcas are less common, their occasional presence adds further intrigue to the experience.
